CNC Machining
Our wide range of CNC machining equipment can handle different materials and parts of various sizes, applying lean manufacturing principles and power tools. Our team has extensive experience with tight tolerance stack-ups in complex assemblies, optimizing time and material usage during frequent machine changes. We also provide comprehensive data analysis and IQ, OQ, PQ studies to meet all your validation requirements.
3D Printing
Get instant quoting and unmatched capacity with our online 3D printing service, offering six cutting-edge 3D printing technologies. We specialize in both plastic and metal 3D printing, ensuring rapid prototyping and low volume injection molding for your prototype manufacturing needs. Our expertise also extends to CNC machining services, sheet metal fabrication, and aluminum casting molds. Additionally, we provide selective laser sintering (SLS), fused deposition modeling (FDM), and direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) for a diverse range of materials.
Low volume manufacturing
Traditional manufacturing methods, such as molding or forming, have long been associated with the concept of mass production: creating large quantities of identical goods. While these techniques are highly cost-efficient for high-volume production (over 10,000 parts), they come with drawbacks, such as requiring standardization, expensive machinery, and limited opportunities for product modifications.
Vacuum casting
Vacuum casting, also identified as urethane casting, replicates the final injection molded parts or end products. Typically, silicone rubber molds derived from CNC machining services or SLA masters are used, enabling flawless duplication of details, textures, and consistent finishes.

5 axis CNC machining
Proto Tech provides 5-axis CNC machining services that achieve an angular tolerance of two-thousandths of a degree (.002°). We specialize in true 5-axis contour machining that allows us to manufacture “almost impossible to make” 5-axis components with ease. It takes more than just excellent machining and programming skills to perform true 5-axis work. Our manufacturing engineers are remarkable machinists that have been with Proto Tech for 20 – 30+ years. They fix, program and set up machines while also producing the components themselves.
Swiss CNC machining
As a prominent Oregon screw machine shop, we excel in mid to high-volume production runs. However, a significant aspect of our success lies in our expertise in high mix low volume production and our capability to run and ship blanket releases. We pride ourselves on accommodating various order sizes, and there are no minimum order quantity requirements. Nonetheless, it is essential to understand that the part price is influenced by the production volume, as setup costs cannot be spread across a large number of parts. Please keep this in mind while planning your production needs.
